I have a new 'symptom' to add to the long long list of strange things migraine does to my body... The last three or so episodes I've had, once the pain dissipates I am left with a vibrating sensation in my head. It feels like my brain is vibrating around in my skull. Strange right? I don't notice it much when I'm moving around, but when I'm sitting still or lying down it is very noticable. Also if I try to focus on a specific object I can 'see' the vibration. I consulted with Dr. Google and all I find is a lot of people with the same symptom and no answers. I'm going to track this and if it persists I'll be going back to the neuro (three hours away - yay!) for another consult.
Accompanying the vibration is facial numbness (used to go away by the time the pain subsided) and nausea. It's just a non-stop roller coaster of fun in my head! ;)

Introducing Chronic Chili!
No, the blog name has nothing to do with any illicit substances... in case you were wondering.
I'm Chili. I'm thirty years old. Wife to a man who is (most days) the man of my dreams. Mother to a preteen girl and a toddler boy. From the outside, my life is picture perfect.
However, I live with two chronic pain diseases. Migraine and fibromyalgia. Oh, and I also have Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome. I'm starting to feel like I spend more time with doctors than I do with my best friends.
I decided to start this blog because I need an outlet. If you suffer from chronic pain, you know as well as I do that no matter how wonderful your support people are sometimes they just get tired of listening to your complaints. Hopefully with this blog and by reading other blogs I can build a virtual support network to take some of the burden off of my 'real life' support team. And maybe through expressing my thoughts and reading others thoughts I can help both myself and others through this sometimes extremely trying journey of chronic pain.
Thanks for joining me.
